Hi, I’m Katie. I’m a CG technical director, coder, and animator in Los Angeles.

From May 2021 to June 2025, I was employed doing tools development and previs/layout work on the Avatar sequels. Prior to that, I was a CG artist for the Carnegie Mellon University Robotics Institute. I recently received my first film credit for working on Avatar: The Way of Water.

I produce independent animation under the name bugmuthur. You can follow her on TikTok, YouTube, and/or Instagram.

I have experience working with variety of DCCs including Maya, Motionbuilder, the Adobe Suite, and Blender. I have worked as an artist and developer in virtual production and game engine workflows, using both out-of-the box functionality and properietary extensions. I can code in Python, HTML, and CSS. I am comfortable working with git. I have traditional art training.
